Sarah Evans is Eta Iota's 2019 chapter president. Sarah is an American Sign Language/ English Interpreting major and joined the chapter in fall of 2016. Since joining the chapter she has served the chapter as social chairman, homecoming co-chair, and co-director of Big Man on Campus. She has been active in the VSU community by being a part of the Red hots dance team and other outside organizations.
Vice President of Programming
Summer Nepveux is a health sciences major serving in this position for 2019. She joined the chapter in spring of 2018 and has held the position of Social Chairman. She is excited about overseeing our programming this year! Her favorite line of the creed is "to see beauty with its enriching influence" because in the midst of the negativity of the world ZTA reminds us there is beauty in everything and encourages us to not get caught up in the negatives, but instead focus on the positives.
VP2: New Member Director and Educator
The second Vice President is in charge of new members. This year Victoria Shuman is serving as our second vice president. Victoria joined the chapter in the spring of 2018. During her time in ZTA she served on campus as the resident assistant on the sorority hall of the dorm for Greek Life. This experience has allowed her to work closely with sorority new members as well as given her the skills she needs to serve as New Member Coordinator for our chapter.
Vice President of Recruitment and Membership
The VP of Recruitment is in charge of coordinating both Spring and fall formal recruitment. Sabrina Torres is serving as VP 3 this year. Sabrina is a Criminal Justice major who joined the chapter in Spring of 2018. During her short time in Zeta she has served as Director of Activities, which is in charge of coordinating tailgates before football games. She already has so many ideas for our recruitment and we cannot wait to see her shine in this extremely important position.
Natalie Hogwood is a biology major who will be serving as Treasurer for 2019. She joined the Eta Iota chapter in the fall of 2017 and has held the position of Homecoming co-chairman during her time in Zeta Tau Alpha. This means she was in charge of coordinating our activities during VSU's 2018 homecoming week.
Erin Manning will be the recording secretary for 2019. She is a nursing major who joined the chapter in fall of 2017. She served the chapter as Community Service Chairman, which is a big position in our sorority that is dedicated to service. Keeping up with the chapter's community service hours proves she is more than qualified to serve the position as recording secretary. Her favorite line of the creed is "To be steadfast, strong and clean of heart and mind."
Courtney Stansell is serving in this position for 2019. Courtney is a psychology major who joined the chapter in the fall of 2017. During her time in Zeta Tau Alpha she has served on executive council as the Historian Reporter. Her dedication to the chapter and extensive knowledge of the national organization makes her the perfect person to serve the chapter as ritual chairman.
The historian's main job is public relations for the chapter in which the Historian runs the chapter's social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, VSCO, as well as the Chapter's website! Maria Sellers is serving as Historian Reporter for 2019. Maria is a Mass Media major who joined the chapter in the spring of 2017. During her time in Zeta she has served as director of Philanthropy for most of fall 2017, Alumnae Relations chairman for 2018, and judicial chairman for 2018. On campus, she served on Wesley Lead Team as part of the Greek Life team and in Society of Collegiate Journalists as the PR Chair. She also writes for the school paper. Maria hopes to use her mass media skills, as well as PR experience to serve Eta Iota as Historian Reporter. Her favorite line of the ZTA Creed is " to be true to ourselves and those within and without our circle" because she values being her own person and staying true to herself.
Risk Reduction and Education Chairman
Sara-Madison Elsberry will be serving as Eta Iota's Risk-Reduction Chairman in 2019. Sara-Madison is a psychology major who joined the chapter in the fall of 2017 and since then she has served the chapter in the positions of Greek Week Chairman and Sheet Sign Chair. She hopes to use her skills and leadership experience in the position of Risk- Reduction and Education Chairman.
Academic Achievement Chair
Kathryn Vance has been a member of Eta Iota since fall of 2017 and she is a marketing major. During her time in Zeta Tau Alpha she has served on Program council as the chaplain, and the Director of FRED and Membership Enrichment. She has also been involved around campus on Wesley Leadership's Greek Life Team.
The CPC Delegate is the chapter's ambassador and representative for the rest of the Greek Community at VSU. She works closely with other Panhellenic chapters and communicates the events other chapters have to Zeta Tau Alpha as well as communicating our events to them as well. The Panhellenic Delegate for 2019 is Katherine Scott. Katherine joined the chapter in fall of 2017 and has been a light for our chapter with her bubbly personality which she will use in this position. During her time in ZTA she has held the positions of BMOC Co-Chairman, Greek Week Chairman, and Think Pink Chairman, making her more than qualified for the position. We cannot wait to see her shine as Panhellenic Delegate!
